A design studio that argues with its clients
Vkomak Design Hub is the creative arm of Vkomak Technologies. We have been building brands since 2019 — and we are known less for saying yes than for explaining, carefully, why the brief needs to change.
Why we started
Vkomak Technologies kept running into the same problem on client projects. The engineering was solid, the product worked — and then it was wrapped in a brand that made a capable company look like a side project.
We would recommend a design partner, and the results came back inconsistent. Some delivered beautiful work that ignored the business problem. Others delivered a single logo file and called it a brand. Almost nobody documented anything, so the work degraded within months of handover.
So in 2019 we built the studio we kept wishing we could hire. One that starts with the commercial problem, argues its position, builds systems rather than artefacts, and writes everything down so the work survives without us.
What that means in practice
Every identity project begins with a category audit — usually forty or more competitor marks, mapped. It is frequently uncomfortable, because it tends to reveal that the direction everyone in the room liked is the direction three competitors already occupy.
We design for the hardest application first: the embroidered polo, the vinyl trailer, the sixteen-pixel favicon. Anything that survives those works everywhere else. And we document usage in language written for the office manager placing a logo on a certificate, not for other designers.

Six principles we actually hold to
Not wall art. These are the rules that decide what we do when a project gets difficult.
Strategy before pixels
We will not open a design tool until we can articulate what the work has to achieve. Beautiful design solving the wrong problem is just expensive decoration.
Honest disagreement
If we think your brief is wrong, we will say so and show our reasoning. Agreeing with a client into a bad outcome is not service, it is cowardice.
Systems, not artefacts
A one-off file degrades the moment someone else touches it. We build systems and write the rules down, so the work survives without us in the room.
AI as a tool, never the author
We use AI to explore faster and wider than we could by hand. Every direction that survives is redrawn and finished by a designer. Nothing ships as raw output.
Own what you paid for
Full copyright, complete source files, no licensing games and no hostage-taking. If you commissioned it, it is yours.
Deadlines are a deliverable
A campaign date does not move because a design took longer than planned. We scope realistically and then hit what we committed to.
Backed by Vkomak Technologies
Design sits inside a technology company, which removes the most common failure point in agency work: the handover gap between the studio that designed it and the team that has to build it.
- Design files produced by people who know what engineers need from them
- Projects can run from first sketch to deployed site without changing vendors
- Performance and accessibility considered at the wireframe, not audited in later
- Long-term support from a company that will still be here in five years
Come and disagree with us
Bring a brief you are unsure about. The first call is free, and you will leave with a clearer view of the problem whether or not you hire us.
